
Who is Denise Costa?
Denise Costa is a visual artist and illustrator from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with Portuguese roots, and she’s now living in the U.S. With a childlike soul and an open heart, Denise welcomes the world with open arms.
She’s been part of several group exhibitions in Brazil, Europe, and the U.S., with highlights including the Hare Gallery in London, the Annual Art Exhibition at the University of Pennsylvania, and the International Luxembourg Salon, where she won an award for her piece "Listen to Yourself."
Denise has also had two solo shows in Rio and illustrated a bunch of children’s books. Her joyful, delicate, and vibrant strokes bring a unique vitality and lightness that make her work stand out.
As a self-taught artist, Denise is always on the move, trying out new textures and techniques, and exploring everything from traditional to contemporary art, illustration to crafts. She’s all about pushing boundaries and breaking stereotypes.
Curiosity and transformation are what drive her. Denise is passionate about people, animals, nature, human relationships, and the multicultural world. Her art is her breath and her healing. Welcome to her creative space!
